Tomorrow is my last day here on the project. We have managed to collect 100 interviews with jamu sellers. We are still collecting key informant interviews and our research assistants will begin transcribing soon as well.
On top of this we will begin filming for a 30 minute documentary about jamu. We have quite a few people who are interested in being a part of the film. We have selected a local UGM student to film the project.
Directly after I leave Julie will arrive. Her graduate student, John Paul, has been here already for about two weeks and with the help of our research assistants, he has prepared tons of materials and field research for them to begin collecting data as soon as she arrives.
Costanza has already left to do more research in another part of the world and Tracy also recently left Jogja to do her research in another part of Indonesia.
Below is a picture of all four of us before Costanza and Tracy left.
